Amy has been practicing yoga on and off for most of her adult life. She fully embraced yoga after a personally challenging year in 2015 and enrolled in yoga teacher training with the intention of focusing on self-care and deepening her own practice. After experiencing the profound personal and spiritual growth that a regular practice had in her life, she felt called to teach and share yoga with others. Amy considers herself a lifetime student and is a strong believer in “we teach what we need to learn.” She leads a soulful, heart-opening practice that inspires students to bring awareness to their lives on and off the mat and to honor the teacher within.

CONNECTED: A Women’s Wellness & Yoga Retreat to Costa Rica
Do you long for authentic, meaningful connections? Now more than ever it seems easier to stay connected to friends and family far and wide; however, research has shown that global loneliness is on the rise. We chat through texts and hide behind screens, but we’re lacking meaningful face to face interaction with other beings. It’s easy to disconnect from your true self when you are told at a young age to act a certain way. It is even easier to disconnect from nature when our only time outside is spent driving to and from work. Women are nurturers by nature, and we so often devote much of our time to nurturing others that our needs fall to the bottom of the list. Maybe it’s time to shower yourself with the same love and attention that you so freely give to everyone else, and connect with like-minded women on a deeper level.

Meeting in Manuel Antonio, where the jungle meets the beach, we will explore our relationship to nature, others and ourselves.
